Brown Hart Gardens
Brown Hart Gardens is an elevated deck atop an electricity substation in the heart of London's West End.
The project involved the redevelopment of the deck into a public space with a new pavilion cafe, seating, planting and access.
The external lighting is discreet and low level. 80 LED tiles create a playful, random arrangement of light sources, and concealed luminaires wash light across the deck from benches and planters. The cafe has a simple downlight scheme with cove lighting to its facetted ceiling.
